Mother-Daughter Spring Break Pilgrimage: Walk the Camino de Santiago

Next spring break, deepen your faith and strengthen your bond on a meaningful journey along the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Designed for 7th and 8th grade girls (both incoming and newly graduated) and their mothers, this pilgrimage offers a unique opportunity to step away from the everyday and walk together in the footsteps of centuries of Christian pilgrims.

Along the way, we’ll explore the beauty of God’s creation, reflect through guided devotions, attend Mass, and grow in spiritual connection—both with the Lord and with each other. With comfortable accommodations, experienced faith-filled guides, and a thoughtfully planned route, this is more than a trip—it’s a sacred journey of the heart.

This 115 kilometer (72 mile) pilgrimage on foot traverses Spain’s most stunning countryside, and ushers you into one of the most ancient adventures of our time. Come walk with purpose, grow in faith, and experience the Camino together!

Itinerary

Saturday, March 7th:
Fly into Madrid Airport. Independent transfer to Sarria via train.

Sunday, March 8th:
Begin the Camino, exploring villages along the way (12.75 miles).

Monday, March 9th:
Cross over the Minho river and hike through the hills and forests of the Galicia region (16.65 miles).

Tuesday, March 10th:
Continue through the wooded paths and discover the medieval village of Ribadiso along the way (17.68 miles).

Wednesday, March 11th:
Resume the journey through quiet Spanish fields and villages, taking time to explore several iconic chapels along the way (11.5 miles).

Thursday, March 12th:
Complete the last leg of your journey with the legendary Santiago slowly rising into view (10.8 miles).

Friday, March 13th:
Experience the city of Santiago, attend the pilgrim’s mass, and receive your Compostela certificate.

Saturday, March 14th:
Depart for homeland.
